Goal: ???
Tomorrow is Easter Sunday. I miss the old days when my family was more united and we celebrated Easter as a family by going to brunch and fellow shipping. As the years have passed and we have moved in our own paths, we no longer celebrate together.
Anyway, tomorrow I will be home. It seems to take a lot of energy for me to keep my spirits up these days. I will be sooooooo HAPPY when I am no longer fixed.

On December 18th, 2009, I underwent surgery to correct my left dislocated ankle. Due to my neuromuscular disorder, Charcot-Marie-Tooth-Syndrome, my surgery resulted in my having to wear a Taylor Spatial External Fixator for three months. This blog is my attempt to make sense of my journey while being fixed to a frame.

- I am a 36 year old African-American female. I am usually fun loving, active, and very outgoing. However, I am now finding myself in an uncertain place. I won't use the "depressed" to define my current frame of mind (I am a social worker and am very aware of how to use that word) but it is somewhere in the neighborhood. *smiles* My life is at a crossroad -- I've been at this intersection before, but this time both roads seem to be covered in darkness. I look forward to blogging, and hopefully, choosing the correct road to travel.
